Christina Aguilera’s schedule is pretty packed right now thanks to her Las Vegas residency Xperience, but that’s not stopping her from plotting other creative endeavors. She surprised her fans by revealing she’s working on a brand-new Latin-themed album.

Aguilera is no stranger to recording in Spanish, but it’s been a while since she did it. Her first and only Latin album Mi Reflejo came out all the way back in 2000, and she’s been thinking about releasing another ever since.

Five-time Grammy-winning singer shared her plans for this album in a recent interview with Billboard and said she wants to do it right. It’s her plan to “work with musicians and beautiful people from the Latin world who just eat, sleep and breathe it, and live it, and learn from them.”

It’s still too early to say when we can expect this album to come out. Aguilera is pretty occupied with her Las Vegas residency, and she’s extremely dedicated to this show since it’s been a long time in the making.

“The Xperience is going to be my most ambitious show yet. For years I have been collecting ideas and concepts that have yet to be implemented on my stages, and Las Vegas is the perfect opportunity for me to collectively showcase my artistry,” Aguilera said in a press release when she first announced her residency.
