The masterminds behind this year’s American Music Awards waited for so long to announce the host that the entire world expected a ceremony without one, but it turns out they had something truly special up their sleeve. Ciara will be in charge of hosting this year’s AMAs!

The R&B superstar is following in the footsteps of Tracee Ellis Ross, who hosted this ceremony twice in a row for the past two years. Ciara previously hosted Billboard Music Awards alongside Ludacris in 2016, so she’s no stranger to entertaining the audience at a major award ceremony.

The list of performers is also constantly expending – Kesha and Jonas Brothers are the latest artists added to the impressive lineup. They’ll be joining Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish, and many more who’ll grace the stage at this ceremony.

The American Music Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24th, with ABC taking charge of the live broadcast. Post Malone topped the list of this year’s nominations with a total of seven nods, and he was closely followed by Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish, who received six each.
