The Crown star Claire Foy will be starring in the psychological horror Dust which launched at the virtual Cannes market this week.
Foy’s received a Golden Globe and Emmy Award for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown and in Dust she’ll play a young mother who lives in Oklahoma during the 1930s and is haunted by her past while being stuck in dust storms. She’ll do anything to protect her family who she believes are being haunted by a mysterious presence.
Variety reported that the film’s “set around a remote farmhouse, is fairly self-contained, with just a small number of starring roles and a minimalist aesthetic.”
Will Joines and Karrie Crouse (Westworld) will direct from a script by Crouse and the two previously worked together on Propagation. Producing are Lucas Joaquin (Blow The Mind Down, Alex Strange Love) and Oscar nominee Alix Madigan (Winter’s Bone).
