Coldplay and BTS have released the music video for the collaboration “My Universe” and it’s epic!

In the clip, which is helmed by music video director Dave Meyers, the two bands star as outlaws trying to bring back music in an alternative universe that forbids music. BTS, Coldplay, and an alien supergroup called Supernova 7 unite in a hologram to play the song.

The single was released on September 24 and it was co-written by both bands with Swedish hitmaker Max Martin. “My Universe” is the second single to come from Coldplay’s forthcoming studio album Music Of The Spheres and it follows “Higher Power”.

The song is BTS’ fourth single of 2021 and it follows their Billboard Hot 100 singles “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”. They also released the Japanese-language track “Film Out” from their compilation album BTS, The Best earlier this year.

This week, the two bands also released a documentary titled Inside My Universe, which shows the making of “My Universe”. Additionally, they released an acoustic version of the single and a “Supernova 7” remix.

In other BTS news, the band just announced they’re having their first in-person concerts for the first time in two years. They’ll be coming to Los Angeles in November and December.
