Colin Jost and Pete Davidson will be taking their comedy to the big screen after working together on Saturday Night Live for years.
The duo will star in Worst Man for Universal Pictures, an original idea based on a pitch by Jost, Matthew Bass, and Theodore Bressman.
The film follows a soon-to-be-married couple and the drama that happens in the weeks proceeding the wedding. The project is still in development and is currently looking for a director.
Jost and Davidson have been working together on SNL for a long time, and their chemistry is especially evident when Davidson comes on Weekend Update to banter with Jost and Michael Che.
Jost is a co-head writer on SNL with Che and he’s been moving into other realms—his memoir A Very Punchable Face will be released on July 14 and he’s set to be in Tom & Jerry.
Over the past year, Davidson’s film career has taken off as he’s currently starring in Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island and he can be seen in Big Time Adolescence, which was released earlier this year. His next project is James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
