Amy Schumer is a married woman! We know, we were surprised as well. The 36-year-old comedian and her boyfriend, chef Chris Fischer, got married on a private ceremony in Malibu on Tuesday. The ceremony was conducted by comedian John Early.
According to reports, there were around 80 guests on the wedding including Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jake Gyllenhaal. On Thursday, Schumer posted photos from the wedding on her Instagram account, captioning them with a simple “Yup.” You can check out the best moments from the wedding and scroll through photos below.
Schumer’s longtime stylist, Leesa Evans, spoke to People after the wedding and revealed some interesting details. According to Evans, Amy just sent her a message saying: “Text me when you wake up, Chris and I want to get married” and that got everything started.
“She felt so confident about the whole big picture,” Evans added. “I think her and Chris really feel so happy to have found each other and are so deeply in love that however it was going to come together was going to be perfect because the idea and the sentiment behind it was just pure love.”
Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer reportedly met in November 2017, six months after Amy broke up with her boyfriend of two years, Ben Hanisch. Interesting thing is that the couple went public about their relationship just a couple of days before the wedding.
