Critics’ Choice TV Awards: “The Crown” and “Ozark” Top Nominations

Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin in "The Crown"

If binge-watching Netflix was one of your favorite pastimes in 2020, The Crown and Ozark probably made it to your watch-list by now and the Critics’ Choice TV Awards voters were just as impressed by these shows as the audience and rewarded them with six nominations each.

Both shows will be in the running for best drama series at this award ceremony. The list of nominees in this category also includes Better Call Saul, The Good Fight, The Mandalorian, Perry Mason, This Is Us, and Lovecraft Country, which received a total of five nominations.

When it comes to the comedy categories, Schitt’s Creek and What We Do in the Shadows led the way with five nods each. They’ll be competing for the best comedy series award against Better Things, The Flight Attendant, Mom, PEN15, Ramy, and Ted Lasso.

Mrs. America is the limited series with the most nominations, with a total of five, but it will have a tough competition in The Plot Against America, which received four nods, and The Queen’s Gambit, Normal People, and The Undoing which got three nominations each.

The Critics’ Choice TV Awards will take place on March 7th, with Taye Diggs serving as the host.
