Arise, Tobias Menzies!

As The Crown continues to sweep the controversy of its pay discrepancies under the royal carpet, Netflix has announced just who will be sitting on the throne for the upcoming season.

Claire Foy and Matt Smith have been at the helm for the show’s first 2 seasons as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, respectively.

But with the series-deciding to fast forward a few years in the life of her royal highness, new castings have been finalized for the roles.

Broadchurch actress, Olivia Coleman, had already been confirmed as taking over the role from Miss Foy, with Matt’s replacement now having been announced as Outlander actor, Tobias Menzies.

The pair will fill the roles for seasons 3 and 4 and will be joined by Les Misérables actress, Helena Bonham Carter, as Princess Margaret.

We hope that Netflix sticks to its decree that no one will be paid higher than the Queen.
