HBO bosses always said that Curb Your Enthusiasm won’t end until Larry David is ready to say goodbye—and that moment has finally arrived. The acclaimed comedy series will end its run with the upcoming twelfth season, set to premiere on HBO this winter.

This iconic series started its life as a one-hour special Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm in 1999, but it went on to grow into something much bigger in the years to come. The first proper season premiered on HBO in 2000, and it centered on the life of the fictionalized version of Larry David, best known as the co-creator of the cult classic sitcom Seinfeld

After 12 seasons, David is finally ready to wave this series goodbye, and he shared the news in a hilarious statement on social media.

“As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” he wrote on Instagram.

The twelfth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will feature a total of ten episodes, airing weekly on HBO, starting with the premiere on February 4, 2024.
