After just one season on the CW, Katy Keene has been canceled.

The Riverdale spinoff is looking to keep going on another platform after the CW decided to cut the series short.

Katy Keene was based on the Archie Comics character and followed aspiring fashion designer Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), who meets Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) who’s trying to make it in the music industry. Along the way, they connect with other artists like mysterious socialite Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) and Broadway performer Jorge Lopez as well as his drag queen alter ego, Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp).

Lucy Hale posted her reaction to the cancellation on her Instagram page saying that she’s sad the show ended, but that she appreciates everyone who’s worked on it, “Sad to deliver this news! But I love the show. I love what it stands for. And mostly I love YOU. To the cast, crew, and all involved… 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 adore you.”

The series was the only CW show not renewed back in January when fellow newcomers Batwoman and Nancy Drew were picked up for a second season.
