Fans lost it when Daisy Ridley announced her Star Wars comeback earlier this year, and we finally know more about her return. The British actress discussed her upcoming films in this sci-fi franchise in a recent interview and said they’re not what she expected.

Ridley attended the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London back in April and used it as an opportunity to announce she’ll reprise her Star Wars role. She said that she’s very thrilled to continue her journey as scavenger-turned-Jedi Rey in three more films, directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Dave Filoni, and James Mangold.

Ridley discussed her return in a recent interview with Collider and revealed what we can expect from the upcoming movies that will see Rey trying to build a new Jedi Order.

“The story is really cool. I’m waiting to read a script because, obviously, I don’t have any other updates. It’s not what I expected, but I’m very excited… I know the storyline for one film. That’s not to say that that’s all it is, but that’s what I was told about,” said Ridley.

Ridley most recently led the psychological thriller The Marsh King’s Daughter, and she’s attached to several more projects outside of the Star Wars franchise, including biopic Young Woman and the Sea, neo-noir Magpie, and action-thriller Cleaner.
