Star Wars sequel trilogy will come to a close this year with the final movie Rise of Skywalker. Daisy Ridley believes this movie will also be her last, and she doesn’t see herself reprising the role of Rey in a nearby future.

The young actress recently set down with Vulture to discuss her role in a new movie Ophelia, but a couple of questions about Star Wars franchise obviously came up. Ridley was asked if she imagines herself appearing in any future films after Rise of Skywalker, and described this project as “a really nice full stop”.

“It felt like an end. I don’t know what’ll happen in however many years. There are so many characters in the Star Wars world who’ve never been explored. There’s so much for the filmmakers to work on. So right now, I don’t think so. But who could say, really? An opportunity might present itself,” said Daisy Ridley.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will premiere on December 20th, and it will also see Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega returning to their respective roles.
