After a competitive bidding war, Dakota Johnson is attached to star in and executive produce a mockumentary series currently in the works at Amazon.

The show, Rodeo Queens, will follow an ensemble of Rodeo Queen hopefuls as they compete for a crown.

Christy Hall (I Am Not Okay With This) created the series and will serve as showrunner and exec produce alongside Johnson, Carrie Brownstein, Ro Donnelly, and Elisa Ellis. Brownstein, known for co-creating, starring in, and directing the critically-acclaimed comedy series Portlandia, will also direct. Her other TV directing credits include Mrs. Fletcher and Shrill.

This will mark Johnson’s return to TV. She previously starred in Fox’s Ben and Kate which ran for one season in 2012. The actress is best known for her role in the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.
