Dancing With the Stars pros, Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, are officially married now. The couple tied the knot at the ceremony in Los Angeles on March 25. The couple got engaged in October 2016, when Sasha proposed to Emma immediately after their performance on Dancing With the Stars.
“As Emma walked down the aisle, instantly locking eyes with Sasha, it was as if time stood still,” said wedding planner Michael Russo to Us Weekly. “Their moving vows had moments of both humor and heartfelt emotion, which made the ceremony a truly special and magical thing to behold. I couldn’t be more proud to have been a witness to this celebration of pure, unconditional love.”
The couple had their first photos taken at Houdini Estate, which has a special meaning for Emma and Sasha since they walk their dog each morning pass the property. The couple shared their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” The wedding included several high profile guests including Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich, Drew Scott, and Cheryl Burke.
Born in the UK, Emma Slater engaged in competitive dancing at the young age and was even in the world’s top 10 at one moment. Later on, she started her theater career and was featured in musical comedy Mamma Mia!. She joined Dancing with the Star in 2012, for the show’s 14th season.
Sasha Farber got involved in Dancing with the Star much earlier, being featured on season two of the Australian edition of the show, which aired in 2005. He and Slater started dating in 2011, and broke up briefly in 2014, only to get back together a year later.
