After a long wait, we’re finally getting a premiere date for Dancing With the Stars.

ABC has confirmed that Season 29 will premiere on September 14, which indicates that they’ve found a way to work around the coronavirus pandemic. Additional production details will be announced at a later date.

Dancing With the Stars is a dance competition that brings together pro dancers and celebrities for performances, training, and choreography, so they can compete against other celebrities and pro dance teams to win the Mirror Ball trophy.

The pro dancers were announced Tuesday on Good Morning America and they include Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Cheryl Burke, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, and Britt Stewart.

The celebrity contestants will be revealed at a later date and the pairings will be known when the season debuts. Former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe has been revealed as the first celebrity cast member.

Season 29 will be hosted by Tyra Banks who’s taking over for longtime hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrew.
