We have another sports super couple in the making. NASCAR driver Danica Patrick confirmed that she is dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“Yes, Aaron and I are dating,” – said Patrick to The Associated Press.
Patrick also revealed that she met Rodgers at The ESPYS in 2012, and despite being the Chicago Bears fan, she told him that she always rooted for him as a player.
“Now I am probably going to cheer for the whole team,” – she added. “Take out the word ‘probably.’ Now I’m going to cheer for the whole team.”
Both athletes ended up their previous long-term relationships in 2017. Aaron Rodgers was in a relationship with actress Olivia Munn for three years, while Danica Patrick ended her five-year relationship with fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in November. According to reports, Rodgers and Patrick grew closer at the beginning of 2018 and were even photographed on a dinner last week.
Danica Patrick also recently announced that she is retiring from the world of racing. The 35-year-old said that she will drive Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 in this year and then she is “done”.
“Nothing that was being presented excited me, then about three weeks ago, I just blurted out, ‘What about Indy? Let’s end it with the Indy 500,’” she said. “This ignites something in me. But I am done after May. Everyone needs to put their mind there. My plan is to be at Indy, and then I’m done.”
Aaron Rodgers, on the other hand, is still recovering from his broken collarbone injury.
