After his unfortunate comments about the possibility of doing another Bond film, it has been confirmed that Daniel Craig will play the suave spy one more time.

The participation of Craig in the 25th installment of the James Bond franchise was confirmed Friday in a statement from the production company behind the James Bond films published by The Guardian. The statement also confirms the participation of Trainspotting director, Danny Boyle in the project.

“We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond in the 25th installment of the franchise,” read the statement from Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli from EON Productions. “We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and are thrilled that Universal will be our international distributor.”

The next installment in the franchise will be Craig’s fifth 007 films after playing Bond in four consecutive films, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.

Craig’s participation in another film was uncertain after the actor interviewed with TimeOut magazines saying that he would rather “slash [his] wrists” than do another Bond movie. It has seemed he had had enough as he said that playing Bond is a “drag” and that “he’s done and that all his wants to do is “move on.”

Since then Craig admitted that is was a stupid graceless statement.

The 25th installment in the James Bond franchise is expected to hit theaters in November 2019.
