Minecraft is the latest hit video game getting its big-screen adaptation, and the production is set to kick off this winter. The ensemble cast of this movie is shaping up to be amazing, and Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen are among the latest stars to hop on board.

Based on one of the highest-selling games of all time, the Minecraft film will be directed by Jared Hess, and it will kick off production in New Zealand by the end of the month. In addition to Brooks as Dawn and Hansen as Henry, this video game adaptation will also star Jason Momoa, while the rest of the cast is yet to be officially announced.

Brooks got her big break with the role of Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson on Orange Is the New Black, and went on to receive a Tony nod and win a Grammy for her work on the Broadway musical The Color Purple. She’ll soon appear in its movie adaptation, in addition to starring in the superhero series Peacemaker.

As for Sebastian Eugene Hansen, the child actor is a relative newcomer in Hollywood. His filmography includes small roles in Destin Daniel Cretton’s Just Mercy alongside Michael B. Jordan and TV shows Mozart in a Jungle and Lisey’s Story.
