Hooray — Darren Criss is going back to his musical roots!
Besides winning almost every award for his leading role in The Assassination of Gianni Versace, most people know the actor from Glee where he played Blaine Anderson for 5 years.
They will now also know him from the new musical Royalties that will be shown on mobile-streaming platform Quibi.
Criss has been confirmed to produce and write songs for the series, as well as star in the lead role.
The show has been described as a satirical take on the people who write the songs that make the whole world sing, with each episode featuring a real-life singer playing a fictional artist.
Criss will play Pierce who is one half of the songwriting duo with Sara and will write the songs which will be featured.
We can’t wait to sing along!
