Kristen Stewart is set to lead the A24 film Love Lies Bleeding, and she’ll be in pretty good company. The list of cast members is getting longer by the day, and Dave Franco, Katy O’Brian, Ed Harris, and Jena Malone are the latest to join her in this promising project.
Love Lies Bleeding has been described as “the romantic thriller [that] examines a romance fueled by ego, desire, and the American Dream.” It will be directed by Rose Glass (Saint Maud), who co-wrote the script with Weronika Tofilsk (His Dark Materials, Hanna, and The Irregulars).
Dave Franco recently made his directorial debut with The Rental, and he’s coming off his scene-stealing role in the hit Apple series The Afterparty. We’ll soon get to see him in Day Shift alongside Jamie Foxx and he’s also attached to Now You See Me 3.
Ed Harris recently appeared in the summer blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick alongside Tom Cruise, and he’s currently starring in Season 4 of HBO’s Westworld. Jena Malone also made a shift to TV alongside Billy Bob Thornton in Amazon’s Goliath, and she’s attached to movies Consecration and Rebel Moon. Love Lies Bleeding marks the first major film role for Katy O’Brian, who previously appeared on The Mandalorian, The Walking Dead, The Rookie, and Black Lightning.
