David Tennant & Cush Jumbo Join “Deadwater Fell”

The Good Fight’s Cush Jumbo and Good Omens David Tennant have joined the Channel 4 drama Deadwater Fell (working title). 

Deadline reports that Tennant and Jumbo have been set as the leads of the forthcoming crime drama. The will star opposite previously announced Anna Madeley (The Crown) and Matthew McNulty (The Terror). 

The series hails from Daisy Coulam.

Tennant will play admired local doctor Tom Kendrick, while Madeley plays his loving wife Kate, a primary school teacher. After a house fire, which he survives, but his wife and their kids don’t the finger of suspicion points first to Tom and then to others.

Jumbo stars as Jess, who was Kate’s best friend and confidante. Jess becomes desperate to understand what could have caused such a tragedy, no matter how devastating the truth may be.

“Daisy Coulam has written something very special, chilling and fascinating with these scripts,” said Tennant. “I am honored and delighted to be part of telling this extraordinary story.”

“I’m so excited to be part of bringing Daisy’s dark and mysterious story and the character of Jess to life,” added Jumbo.
