James Gunn has announced that he will be revealing the character lineup for the Suicide Squad sequel at the DC FanDome next week.
Gunn is the director of the fan-favorite Marvel feature, Guardians of the Galaxy. In 2018, he was hired by DC to direct the Suicide Squad sequel. Details about the feature have been very much kept under wraps but now, new and exciting information is starting to be teased.
We already know that the sequel will feature a whole bunch of cast additions including the likes of Idris Elba, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, Nathan Fillion, Pete Davidson, Storm Reid, and Michael Rooker. What has remained a mystery, however, are the roles that these actors will play.
“In just one week join me & the cast of The Suicide Squad at DC FanDome for a sneak preview of our film & to see who’s who!” Gunn shared on Twitter. “Hope to see you there!”
The teaser Gunn shared on Twitter features snippets of the actors meeting on a video call.
The DC Fandome event will take place August 22.
