Demi Lovato is fresh off the release of her very first remix album Revamped, and she set her eyes on her next project. The former Disney star announced she’s joining forces with Roku for a Christmas special A Very Demi Holiday Special, set to be released in December.
A Very Demi Holiday Special will see Lovato put her own twist on classic holiday songs, such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Jingle Bell Rock”. She’s also expected to perform some of her biggest hits, and her holiday special will also feature a surprise duet.
Brian Tannenbaum, head of originals for Roku Media, said they’re looking forward to ringing in the holidays with Lovato and said they’ve created something really amazing together.
“Together with Demi and the OBB Pictures team, we’ve created a truly fun and unique holiday experience for viewers to connect with and laugh over. We can’t wait for audiences to unwrap this one-of-kind Roku Original special,” said Tannenbaum in a statement.
A Very Demi Holiday Special will premiere on Roku on December 8. Lovato serves as one of the show’s executive producers, and she said that she “can’t wait to put [her] special twist on the celebrations” because the holidays are such a special time of the year for her.
