A musical based on the life of the late Princess of Wales is heading to Broadway.

The new musical is set to hit the stage at Broadway’s Longacre Theater in March 2020.

Diana was penned by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan (Memphis) and directed by Christopher Ashley (Come From Away). In charge of the music and arrangements are Ian Eisendrath and choreography by Kelly Devine. Tony Award winner William Ivey Long will handle the costumes.

According to multiple sources, the show ran earlier this year at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego. Jeanna de Waal and Roe Hartrampf, who played the late Princess and Prince Charles respectively at La Jolla, are also heading for Broadway. Also reprising their roles are Erin Davie as Camilla Parker Bowles and Tony Award-winner Judy Kaye as Queen Elizabeth.
