Kevin Hart is known for being a comedy actor not for being an action hero, as he often plays the role of the comedic sidekick in the movies he stars in. But, in the new trailer for the 10-episode Quibi series Die Hart, he’s looking to change that.
Hart plays a version of himself who’s trying to become an action hero. To make this jump, he enrolls in the world’s greatest action star school where he meets the school’s director played by John Travolta and his rival, another student (Nathalie Emmanuel). To land the role of his dreams, he must first get through a series of over-the-top action sequences and face his fears.
The series was created by Tripper Clancy (Stuber) and Derek Kolstad (John Wick) and Jean Reno and Josh Hartnett also star in it. The teleplay is directed by Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Eric Appel and Hart also executive produced the series.
Die Hart premieres on Quibi on July 20 with a new episode being released every weekday until July 29.
