Despite only appearing on one episode of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano quickly became a fan-favorite character, and she’ll soon be coming back for more! Spinoff series Ahsoka is on the way, and Disney+ finally unveiled the first teaser trailer starring Rosario Dawson.

Dawson played Ahsoka Tano in the episode “Chapter 13: The Jedi” of the hit Disney+ show The Mandalorian, but this actually wasn’t our first introduction to this character. She previously appeared in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with Ashley Eckstein providing the voice.

According to its official logline, Ahsoka is set after the fall of the Empire, and it will follow the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Dawson was present when the teaser trailer was unveiled at London’s Star Wars Celebration, and she revealed what we can expect of her character in this series.

“Though she is not a Jedi, she has so much of that at heart for her – she’s driven by trying to do good. She sees a threat other people aren’t seeing… She has a sense that there’s something, she knows that these foes are not easily dismissed,” said Dawson.

Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ in August, and it will also star Ray Stevenson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
