If you’re always in the mood to watch new sequels based on your favorite Disney movies, we’ve got some good news for you! The company’s CEO Bob Iger announced they’re plotting sequels of several animated Disney movies, including Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia.

Iger announced the sequels during a recent Q1 earnings call, saying he’s excited to share the news about new installments of some of their most popular animated franchises and added they’ll have more to share about these productions soon.

The announcement of Toy Story’s latest sequel comes after the studio failed to meet high expectations with the last year’s spinoff Lightyear. Even though this movie didn’t manage to live up to the hype, the Toy Story franchise is still a hot property for Disney, with a total of $3.03 billion earned over four movies.

Bringing back Frozen for another sequel is also a no-brainer since the previous two movies found enormous success and transformed into a global brand, with Disney Park attractions, Broadway musicals, two short films, and a lot of merchandising opportunities.

As for Zootopia, fans have been begging Disney for a sequel of the Oscar-winning movie ever since it came out in 2016. Their prayers have finally been answered, just a few months after the release of the spinoff series Zootopia+ on Disney+.
