Disney+ tried to expand the Muppetverse with The Muppets Mayhem, but this series wasn’t the instant hit they were hoping for. The streaming giant canceled the musical comedy series led by Lilly Singh after a single season.

This series centers on Dr. Teeth’s band The Electric Mayhem, after they decide to embark on an epic journey to finally record their first studio album after 45 years of rockin’ and rollin’ together.

“With the help of driven young music exec, the endlessly cool, iconic Muppet rock band – featuring Dr. Teeth. Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Janice, Lips, Zoot, and Animal – must get their act in gear as they come face to face with the crazy, contemporary music scene in their quest to finally go platinum,” reads the show’s official synopsis.

The list of Muppet performers involved in this show included Matt Vogel as Floyd, Bill Barretta as Dr. Teeth, Peter Linz as Lips, Dave Goelz as Zoot, David Rudman as Janice, and Eric Jacobson as Animal. The series was led by Lilly Singh, with Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry, and Anders Holm in supporting roles.

The Muppets Mayhem was created for Disney+ by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta, and Jeff Yorkes, and all ten episodes premiered on this streaming service back in May.
