If you already marked the dates of the upcoming MCU movies in your calendar, it’s time to make some changes. Disney recently announced a new schedule for the highly-anticipated Marvel movies, and it turns out they made several changes to the current timeline.

Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home are still keeping their 2021 release dates locked up, but that’s not the case with other MCU projects. They’ll be followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, set to kick off summer 2022 on May 6th instead of opening in March.

Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder was pushed to July 8th, 2022 and it won’t face any major competition on the box office once it hits the theaters. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently shooting in Atlanta, and it’s expected to see the light of day on November 11th, 2022.

Marvel and Disney repeatedly shifted their theatrical dates in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t seem to be the cause of the latest change in schedule. According to Deadline, this shift was “on account of a domino effect going on with production and filmmakers” since several projects are either still filming or entering a complex post-production process.
