Dixie Chick marked the 1st of May with a new single off their postponed forthcoming album.

The country group has shared their latest single “Julianna Calm Down,” a track off Gaslighter. The album was initially slated for a May 1 release, but has been delayed indefinitely for unknown reasons “ongoing legal disputes.”

“We can’t give you the full album just yet, but we also couldn’t let May 1 pass by without sharing a new song with you,” they said in a press release. “So, here is track number nine “Julianna Calm Down” off Gaslighter. We hope it makes you feel empowered, smile, and strut the f*** around like you’ve got nothing to lose. We will strut through this time together.”

The song is a ballad for women who’ve experienced or lived through harmful relationships as the lead singer Natalie Maines sings to “Julianna,” “Harper,” “Eva,” “Katie,” “Juno,” “Yaya,” “Violet,” “Berta,” “Amelia,” and “Naomi,” to stay strong and remember to “breathe.”
