Amazing things tend to happen whenever Doja Cat and SZA join forces, and their latest collaboration is a case in point. Doja Cat hopped on a new remix of SZA’s smash hit “Kill Bill” and put an epic twist on this R&B banger.

The duo hinted they had a new collaboration on Twitter, with Doja Cat tweeting SZA, “sis… I did something bad,” and she replied by writing, “Jesus.. what is it.” It quickly turned out they have a new song on the way, and it turned out that the song in question was a new version of “Kill Bill”.

SZA and Doja Cat previously reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won their first Grammy for best pop duo/group performance with “Kiss Me More”. Doja was expected to be featured on the original version of “Shirt” from SZA’s album SOS, but those plans fell through.

“She had surgery, she had to have that emergency, like, vocal cord surgery and she wasn’t ready in the time that we needed to get the song done… It was just a lot of confusion, but don’t know. I hope for the best, and I’m still, like, a major fan of her and her artistry,” SZA told Billboard at the time.

“Kill Bill” was released as the fifth single from SZA’s latest album SOS, and it peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
