After months of anticipation, Doja Cat’s new album Scarlet is finally here, and she’s chosen “Agora Hills” as its latest single. The accompanying music video for this song is here, and it will win you over with its show-stopping cinematography and nostalgic vibe.

Doja Cat co-directed the music video for “Agora Hills” alongside Hannah Lux Davis, and they’ve chosen to go down the retro route. The vibe of this visual walks a fine line between sweet and sinister, and it shows the rapper doing everything from talking to her significant other on the phone from inside a candy-colored bedrom to floating down from the sky in the middle of a demolished neighborhood.

The music video for “Agora Hills” was released along with Doja Cat’s fourth studio album Scarlet, which hit the shelves this Friday. She decided to leave her signature pop-leaning sound behind when writing this record, and fully embrace hip-hop and R&B.

“Agora Hills” isn’t the first song from Scarlet to make a splash. “Paint the Town Red” was released as its lead single and became Doja Cat’s first solo song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Promotional singles “Attention”, “Demons”, and “Balut” also preceded the album’s release.
