Doja Cat has been on fire since the start of 2021 and gave us several epic songs, but her most exciting project of the year is yet to come. The singer’s third album Planet Her is just around the corner, and she recently shared its release date, cover art, and tracklist with the world.
Planet Her will hit the shelves on June 25th, and it’s expected to feature a total of 14 songs. We’ve already got to hear Doja Cat’s collaboration with SZA “Kiss Me More”, which serves as the lead single, but she’ll also partner up with Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Young Thug.
Planet Her serves as the follow-up to Doja Cat’s hit sophomore studio album Hot Pink, which gave us hit songs “Say So”, “Juicy”, and “Streets”. She described it as the first record that feels fully her own because she’s simply doing her own thing.
“I think in the beginning, I was just trying to be solid and be what a pop artist already was… But as I move on into this Planet Her era, I want to introduce things to people as opposed to just re-create and rehash. It’s just more inspiring to start from a more innovative spot,” she said while discussing her new album with Billboard.
