Domhnall Gleeson is one of those actors who’s been popping up in all of your favorite movies in the last few years, but he’s finally giving TV a try. The Star Wars actor just joined the pilot for HBO’s upcoming comedic thriller Run.

Gleeson first major TV commitment was described as a tale of two ex-lovers who activate a long-planned escape to disappear together. It centers on Ruby, described as “a woman living a humdrum existence.” She decides to embark on an exciting journey with her oldest flame after he invites her to fulfill a youthful pact.

Domhnall Gleeson was cast as Billy Johnson, a successful life guru from a wealthy Irish family. He was described as an individual who “combines a boatload of charisma with a boundless need for approval.” We’ve already seen hints of this character in some of his previous roles, and he sounds like the perfect man for a job.

Killing Eve‘s creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge and her frequent collaborator Vicky Jones are the ones in charge of bringing this exciting project to life. They’ll both serve as executive producers, but Jones will be the one writing the pilot. Waller-Bridge will have a recurring role in Run, and it won’t be her first time to appear alongside Gleeson. They previously starred together in A. A. Milne biopic Goodbye Christopher Robin.
