Netflix’s acclaimed Royal family drama is set to add Dominic West to its cast.

The drama, which follows the royal family through multiple time periods, beginning in the late 1940s and early 1950s, could feature West as Prince Charles in its last two seasons.

News of the casting comes just under a month before the series returns for season 4 on November 15. The upcoming season will largely center around Charles, played by Josh O’Connor, and Diana’s (Emma Corrin) tempestuous marriage.

Originally planned to run for five seasons, showrunner Peter Morgan confirmed that The Crown will come back for a sixth and final season earlier this year.

“As we started to discuss the storylines for Series 5, it soon became clear that in order to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story we should go back to the original plan and do six seasons. To be clear, Series 6 will not bring us any closer to present-day—it will simply enable us to cover the same period in greater detail,” Morgan said.

Seasons 5 and 6 will also star Imelda Staunton as the new Queen Elizabeth II, with Leslie Manville set to play Princess Margaret and Jonathan Pryce portraying Prince Philip.
