Drake never struggled to create a lot of buzz with each new album he shares with the world, and he took things to a whole new level with Certified Lover Boy. Following its release on Friday, Drake’s latest studio effort broke a single-day streaming record on Apple and Spotify.

When it comes to both these records, Drake’s only real competition was himself. Both records were previously held by his double album Scorpion, which broke Spotify’s one-day global record for album streams with 132 million streams, and also managed to receive 170 million streams on Apple Music during its first day on the platform.

To make the whole thing even better, three tracks from this album surpassed Apple Music’s previous record for the most-streamed song in a single day. The songs in question are “Girls Want Girls” ft. Lil Baby, “Champagne Poetry,” and “Fair Trade” ft. Travis Scott. They broke the record previously held by Drake’s own song “Nonstop”.

Certified Lover Boy hit the shelves on September 3rd, approximately nine months after its initially planned release in January. It features a total of 21 tracks, including collaborations with Lil Durk, Giveon, Jay-Z, Future, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, and Kid Cudi.
