Drake said he’s taking a brief hiatus from music to focus on his health just last month, but it seems he simply can’t catch a break. The Canadian rapper surprised his fans by dropping the EP Scary Hours 3, which serves as a companion piece to his recent album For All the Dogs.

Drake dropped a teaser for Scary Hours 3 on social media just a few hours before sharing it with the world. He explained that this album came together pretty quickly and organically so he didn’t feel like waiting before dropping it.

“I feel like I’m in that mental state without doing anything. I did those songs in the last five days. I didn’t have one bar written down for those songs on the night that For All the Dogs dropped… You know, this is just happening on its own. And who am I to fight it?” said Drake in the teaser’s voiceover.

His latest EP was released on November 17 under the title For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition. It features a total of six songs, including a collaboration with J. Cole. It follows the release of his latest studio album For All the Dogs, which became his 13th album to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart just last month.
