This year’s Billboard Music Awards were a historic night for a few of our favorite artists – including Drake who managed to beat tough competition and walk away with a total of 12 awards.
By winning this impressive number of shiny statues, the Canadian rapper managed to set a major BMA record. This victory brought him to a total of 27 wins at this ceremony and transformed him into the top award recipient in Billboard Music Awards history.
Drake’s triumph was so enormous that none of his competitors came even close to double digits, but Cardi B was the next in line. She walked away with a total of six trophies, while Maroon 5 managed to snag four.
