It looks like we’re inching closer to hearing Drake’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy. The “Hotline Bling” rapper recently said on OVO Sound Radio that the record is being close to the finish line and should be released soon.

Drake first announced Certified Lover Boy back in the summer of 2019 and initially set the release date for the summer of 2020. The album was then pushed for January 2021 before being postponed again.

The last postponement went without a new release date, and Drake admitted that he still doesn’t have the details.

“I don’t have an exact date, but it’s in the pot, and it’s coming soon,” he added.

So far, Drake presented only one single from the album. “Laugh Now Cry Later” was released back in August and featured Lil Durk as the feature.

In order to give his fans some new music while they wait for Certified Lover Boy, Drake decided to share a three-song EP Scary Hours 2. The extended play, which serves as a sequel to 2018’s Scary Hours, features Lil Baby and Rick Ross as guests. Boi-1da, Supah Mario, and Cardo were among the producers.
