The soundtrack for Barbie will be an embarrassment of the riches, and we just got to hear the first full song from this film. Dua Lipa gave us a taste of the film’s star-studded soundtrack with an epic music video for the dance-pop number “Dance the Night”.

We’ve got to hear the first snippet of this song in the second Barbie trailer, and it didn’t take long for Lipa to share the full track with the world. The music video features film references, behind-the-scenes clips, a cameo from the director Greta Gerwig, and Lipa herself channeling her inner Barbie.

Lipa agreed to join this project after getting a DM from Mark Ronson, who was in charge of writing the music for the film alongside Andrew Wyatt.

“There’s a song with a huge 60-person dance number with the whole cast – I only have the track so far, as they started rehearsals, but I would f—king love it if you would consider co-writing and starring on it. I honestly think the movie’s going to be incredible,” wrote Ronson in his DM.

In addition to Lipa, the Barbie soundtrack will feature many A-list artists, including Nicki Minaj, Charli XCX, Karol G, Tamme Impala, Haim, and Ava Max, among others.
