Dua Lipa made a huge splash with her debut album two years ago, and we’ve been waiting for its follow-up ever since. She’s finally ready for a comeback and her new song “Don’t Start Now” gave us a taste of things to come.

After teasing her sophomore album for some time, Lipa introduced her new sound with this disco-inspired track. Just like her breakout hit “New Rules,” this song sees the singer moving on from a past relationship and thriving on her own.

Dua Lipa explained that “Don’t Start Now” felt like a natural lead single for her second studio album. “I chose to put this song out first so I could close one chapter of my life and start another. Into a new era with a new sound! It’s about moving on and not allowing anyone to get in the way of that,” the singer said in a statement.

Since dropping her debut album, Lipa collaborated with Calvin Harris and Silk City and recorded a song for the Alita: Battle Angel soundtrack. It’s unclear if any of them will be featured on her second LP, which still doesn’t have a title or a release date.
