It’s been over a year since Dua Lipa dropped her sophomore studio album Future Nostalgia, and she’s still receiving recognition for this record. The “New Rules” singer dominated this year’s Brit Awards and came out victorious in two different categories.

Dua Lipa picked up two out of three awards she was nominated for—the best British female solo artist and best British album with Future Nostalgia. She failed to come out victorious in the best British single category, where her song “Physical” was beaten by Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar”.

Lipa was also one of the performers at the ceremony, along with The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, and Coldplay. She performed an epic medley of the biggest hits from Future Nostalgia, including “Physical”, “Hallucinate”, and “Don’t Start Now”.

The list of major winners at this year’s Brit Awards also included J Hus (best British male solo artist), Little Mix (best British group), and Arlo Parks (best breakthrough artist). The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Haim dominated the international categories, while Taylor Swift picked up an honorary global icon award.

The 2021 Brit Awards were held on May 11th, with Jack Whitehall returning to host for the fourth time.
