Dua Lipa has been teasing her new album Future Nostalgia for the last few months, and she decided to drop it earlier than expected. Her sophomore LP will hit the shelves one week before its original release date after someone leaked it online.

The “New Rules” singer was initially planning to share this album with the world on April 3rd, but decided to drop it this Friday instead, and admitted she was conflicted about this decision.

“I’m not sure if I’m even doing the right thing, but I think the thing we need the most at the moment is music, and we need joy and we need to be trying to see the light. I hope it makes you smile and I hope it makes you dance and I hope I make you proud,” said Lipa on Instagram.

Future Nostalgia will now hit the shelves on March 27th, days after its full high-quality leak online. The album was preceded by singles “Physical”, “Break My Heart”, and “Don’t Start Now”, which peaked at no. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.
