Christmas is already looking rather perfect.

With the holiday season right around the corner, Ed Sheeran has announced that he will be putting out a Christmas tune—but he won’t be alone.

The “Bad Habits” hitmaker will be joined by none other than Sir Elton John.

“Elton rang me on Christmas Day [last year] to say Merry Christmas,” Sheeran explained to Dutch radio station NPO Radio 2, adding that Elton’s 1973 track, “Step into Christmas”, had re-entered the charts. “He said ‘Step Into Christmas’ is Number 6 in the charts! I want to do another Christmas song — will you do it with me?”

The four-time Grammy Award winner seized the opportunity to work with the “I’m Still Standing” singer, even though he admits that he felt that the song didn’t suit him initially.

Sheeran did not mention a release date for the Christmas collaboration, but said, “It’s just me and him. It’s great.”
