Ed Sheeran’s = is only a few weeks away, and he gave us the shivers with his latest single from this highly-anticipated album. The music video for “Shivers” is here, and it shows the British singer channeling his inner Elton John.
In addition to Sheeran, this glitzy music video also stars The Carrie Diaries actress AnnaSophia Robb, in her very first music video appearance. The Dave Meyers-directed video basically sees the singer cosplaying as Elton John and trying to wow Robb in a number of surreal settings and scenarios.
“Shivers” is the second single from Sheeran’s upcoming album = aka Equals, set to hit the shelves on October 29th. He wrote it shortly after wrapping up his best-selling Divide world tour, but his plans for this song were very initially very different.
“It was originally meant to be the first single but I just didn’t see a world where ‘Bad Habits’ existed if it didn’t come out in the summer. Shivers always felt more autumnal. I hope you like it, I bloody love it,” said Sheeran when announcing the single.
In addition to “Bad Habits” and “Shivers”, = will feature 12 more tracks, including the previously released Kylie Minogue collaboration “Visiting Hours”.
