The “Beautiful People” singer had a busier year than most as he traveled around the globe for his Divide World Tour. He performed 53 shows between the beginning of February and the end of August, as well as released a new collaborative album entitled, No. 6 Collaborations Project.
Traveling from city to city and singing for thousands of screaming fans almost every night has left the 28-year-old understandably exhausted and he has now decided to take a well-deserved break.
Sheeran informed his fans on social media that he would be assuming a hiatus through an Instagram post captioned “BRB” which is short for “be right back”. The statement also confirms that the break includes putting aside his social media presence for the time being.
“Hello all. Gonna go on another break again. The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world,” the musician wrote. “I’ve been a bit nonstop since 2017 so I’m just gonna take a breather to travel, write and read. I’ll be off all social media until it’s time to come back.”
We hope he comes back happier.
