Congratulations to Eddie Murphy and his fiancee Paige Butcher who welcomed their baby boy Friday last.
The news was confirmed by the couple’s publicist Monday. The statement also revealed the newborn’s name — Max Charles Murphy. The baby’s middle name is in homage to Murphy’s brother, actor Charlie Murphy, who died of leukemia last year. The statement added that the mother and 6 pounds, 11 ounces baby are doing well.
The actor has been dating the Australian model and actress since 2012, and they recently became engaged. They are also the parents of a 2-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona Murphy.
This is Murphy’s 10th child and Butcher’s second. In addition to his two youngest children with Butcher, Murphy has eight older kids — Eric, 29, and Christian, 28, with former girlfriends Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood, respectively; daughters Bella Zahra, 16, Zola Ivy, 18, Shayne Audra, 23, and Bria, 28, and son Miles Mitchell, 25, with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy and an 11-year-old daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, with Spice Girls member and Mel B.
