Cult action flick Edge Of Tomorrow is living up to its alternative title Live Die Repeat! After years of speculations, it’s finally been announced that this critically acclaimed movie starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt is getting a follow-up.
We’ve been waiting for this amazing news since 2014 when the first film won us over with its surprisingly refreshing time-loop premise. Despite its lukewarm box-office reception, Edge Of Tomorrow was a huge hit with the critics and it managed to earn
Matthew Robinson (The Invention Of Lying) will be in charge of writing the script. It’s safe to expect to see Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt returning to their respective roles, but nothing is confirmed just yet. Doug Liman still hasn’t confirmed he’ll be back for the sequel either, but we’re expecting him to return since he always spoke highly of this project and its legacy.
“It’s way more meaningful to me that people are talking about the film today than if they were talking about it when it came out because that, for me, is the goal – to make movies that stand the test of time,” said Liman about Edge Of Tomorrow.
