Eli Roth’s latest horror Thanksgiving has only been in theaters for two weeks, but its future is looking bright! Roth took to Instagram to announce we’ll be getting a second helping of the feast because Thanksgiving is officially getting a sequel.

Thanksgiving is the third film based on fictitious Grindhouse trailers, following Robert Rodriguez’s Machete and Jason Eisener’s Hobo with a Shotgun. It’s set in a small town in Massachusetts, where a sillier killer wearing a John Carver mask terrorizes its citizens just in time for Thanksgiving.

Roth wore a John Carver mask in his Instagram video announcing the amazing news and said he’s already plotting the second film in this franchise.

“BREAKING NEWS! John Carver will kill again! Thank you everyone who supported ORIGINAL HORROR in theaters!!! Go see it now on the big screen while it’s in cinemas, sequel set for release in 2025! Taking a year to really get the script right, working on it starting today!” wrote Roth.

Thanksgiving earned $30.6 million against a $15 million budget, and it holds an 83% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes—the highest of Roth’s career as a director. It starred Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, Gina Gershon, and Tim Dillon, but it’s unclear if any of them would return for the sequel.
