Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch is one of the defining characters of Elizabeth Olsen’s career, but she’s ready to let her go. The Emmy-nominated actress discussed her plans for the future in a recent interview and said she needs other characters in her life after playing this Marvel heroine.

Scarlet Witch was prominently featured in Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015 and went on to appear in several MCU projects, including films Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the acclaimed Disney+ series WandaVision.

In a pre-strike interview with Times of London, Olsen told the magazine she doesn’t want to be associated with just one character and she’s ready to tackle other roles.

“I really feel like I need to be building other parts back up for balance. I so much want to do films right now. And I hope some of them come together in the way I feel like they can… I just need other characters in my life. There’s no longevity in one character,” said Olsen.

WandaVision star also said she loved playing this character, but she’s not too eager to return to this role because she’s really proud of what she was able to create so far.
